Quote by video 0330 520 2935How much does air conditioning cost in Ipswich?
A single-room wall-mounted system typically costs £2,000–£3,500 installed, and a 2–3 room multi-split £3,500–£6,000 or more. We give you a fixed, written price after a survey or a video. See our Ipswich price guide.
Can I get a quote without a home visit?
Yes. Send a two-minute video of the room and outside wall and we usually reply with a written quote within one working day.
Which parts of Ipswich do you cover?
All of Ipswich (IP1 to IP10) and the surrounding area, including Kesgrave, Martlesham, Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Hadleigh, Needham Market and the villages in between.
Do you offer finance?
Ask when you request a quote and we will tell you the current options.
How long does an installation take?
One day for most single-room systems; two to three days for multi-room systems.
Will you need to drill through the wall?
Yes, usually one 65 mm hole per indoor unit for the pipes, cable and drain. We seal it inside and out and finish it neatly.
Can the outdoor unit go on the ground?
Yes. Ground stands are often quieter and easier to service. We pick the spot with you.
Is home air conditioning noisy?
Indoor units run at around 19–25 dB on low, quieter than a whisper. Outdoor units are placed away from bedrooms where possible.
Will it heat my home in winter?
Yes, reverse-cycle systems heat efficiently down to well below freezing.
How long does a service take?
About an hour for one indoor and one outdoor unit, a little longer for multi-split systems.
Do you service systems you did not install?
Yes, most makes. Send us the make and model when you book.
What does a service cost?
Typical UK prices are around £100–£200 a year for a home system. We give you a fixed price when you book; plans cost less per visit.
Can you tell what is wrong from the error code?
Often, yes. Send the make, model and code and we can usually narrow it down before visiting.
Do you repair old systems?
Yes, but we will tell you if a repair is not worth it, for example on R22 systems.
Will an air-to-air heat pump work in winter?
Yes. Modern units heat effectively well below freezing, with a defrost cycle that runs automatically.
Can it replace my central heating?
It can heat individual rooms or a whole small home or flat, but it does not provide hot water.
Is there a grant?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme does not cover air-to-air heat pumps. Their lower installed cost often makes up for it.
How much does air conditioning cost to run?
Well under 10p an hour for a typical 3.5 kW system cooling a room at October 2026 prices.
Do you work out of hours?
Yes. Installations and maintenance can be scheduled in the evenings or at weekends to avoid disruption.
Can you take over maintenance from another contractor?
Yes. We start with a condition survey and a check of refrigerant records, then propose a schedule.
Do you work for main contractors?
Yes, to a consultant specification or as design-and-install.
